About Cloud View USA Android App
Uses the Space Science and Engineering Centers Real-Time US Composite Satelite Image to give current and recent cloud cover.
Gives the ability to interactively check the last 8 hours of data capture.
This app uses the Space Science and Engineering centers' data from http://ssec.wisc.edu for its animation.
The app uses a hybrid system using native controls on the android and javascript controls to display the animation from an embedded web-page. It also uses jquery, and a protocol bridge to communicate back and forth to the web page. Javascript can call Android Java functions, and the Android Java can call any javascript function, including defining new ones.
