About Color Confusion Android Game

ColorConfusion is based on a cognitive test measuring the increase in reaction times due to interference of contradictory pieces of information, the so called Stroop effect (see Wikipedia for John Ridley Stroop, 1935).

By playing, you can test and improve your concentration skills.

The game is simple, and has only one rule: You have to tap on that color out of the bottom 4 the COLOR of which appears in the center of the screen regardless of the meaning of the WRITTEN text. Take care, if you tap on any different color, your score is decreased by 1 point.

You can choose out of 3 different game modes:
The EASY is a reference measure, where no interference occurs, that is the text and its color agrees. (The original Stroop test calls it congruent stimulus.) This is where you are supposed to reach the highest score.
The NORMAL is the usual test, where the written color name and its coloring disagree. (The original Stroop test calls it incongruent stimulus.) Do not get scared. It is normal, to reach fewer points here. The less difference you have, the better your abilities to focus are.
The DIFFICULT differs from the above mode by shuffling the buttons as well, introducing the new task of searching the right color.

You can also analyse your performance by charts and high scores database. In the next upgraded release you will be able to challenge your friends and compare your abilities via your Google Play Account.
