Commute Detroit allows you to see LIVE traffic camera images from 383 traffic cameras from around Southeast Michigan! See how the traffic looks in real-time BEFORE you leave the house or work so you can avoid the traffic jams. MDOT does not offer video footage yet, but the live images can be updated every ~6-10 seconds to give you a true real-time view.

New in the latest version 3.2 release: Live Google traffic on the camera map! Now you can see where the backups are at a high level, and then click on the camera to see a live view.

Cameras are available in the following cities: Bloomfield, Clarkston, Holly, Auburn Hills, Pontiac, Rochester, St. Clair Shores, Hazel Park, Detroit, Southgate, Livonia, Redford, Novi, New Hudson, Brighton, Ann Arbor, Southfield, Warren, Wixom, Madison Heights, and MORE.

Commute Detroit offers you image feeds from ALL available MDOT cameras, for a total of 383. There are cameras as far north as Gaylord and as far south as Monroe, with the majority of the cameras centered around Detroit and the surrounding cities.

Note: The traffic camera feeds come originally from MDOT, and Commute Detroit has no control over any sporadic downtime that a camera may experience.
