The current factory at 22 Strang Street was one of the first to be developed in the 1960’s as a fresh fruit and vegetable wholesaler called Merlino’s. This site and surrounding properties has been designated for re-development into a vibrant mixed-use residential and commerical area. The site at 22 Strang Street is one of the first to take advantage of the planned re-development in the area. It is no secret that the entire Fremantle area has been transitioning from a port-city to a sought after upper-middle class residential area.
