About Cyface Android App
Cyface is the first German crowdsourcing plattform which collects street surface data by using mobile phones. The surface quality is visualized informative and clearly on a map. In contrast to usual methods no expensive measurement devices are needed which allows us to provide always up-to-date surface quality data which can, for example, help cities and counsils to fix road anomalies as long as they are still easy to fix.
In order for you to help monitoring the surface quality of your country you can download this app, plug your mobile phone into a phone holder just before your next car or bike ride and start the measurement by hitting the play button. At the end of your drive you just need to hit the pause button in order to stop the measurement and the data is automatically uploaded to our servers for processing when you are connected to Wi-Fi.
