DEFY Street Harassment was designed for individuals to investigate the effects of street harassment within the Champaign-Urbana and Chicagoland areas.
This study is conducted by Ashley Feely, a University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign sociology graduate student under the guidance of Dr. Monica McDermott, associate professor of Sociology. This study is designed to investigate the effects of street harassment and to identify where, when, to whom and by whom street harassment is likely to occur. You should NOT report incidences of sexual assault using this app.
