About Dengue Index Android App

Dengue Index App is developed for the public to have an awareness of the current hotspot and information on the next likelihood of dengue outbreak at their fingertips. It is a user friendly application built in conjunction with the Big Data Analytics (BDA) Initiative for the nation. This solution is based on a combination of various data sources with advanced predictive analytics method. The resulting index would be made available via mobile apps (IOS and Android) whereby users could identify the Dengue Index at their current location or another location. It would be specific down to the street level. In the next release, the application will have further interesting features benefiting the society such as the below proposed plan:
a. Community Leaders – advice on preventative measures such as increased fogging, clearing still water etc.
b. Government Planners – highlight new hotspots for the distribution of information, resources
c. Community members – advice on preventative measures, symptoms to look out for etc.

With the Dengue Index application, citizens will be well informed on the current hotspot and able to plan their daily life activities accordingly. "Journey without the worry."
