Added sponsor logo and contact link. Thanks to KS Analytical Systems!
Added more x-ray source values (ka1, ka2, silver, manganese, etc) along with more recent/precise values
Added ability to change angle from theta to 2 theta (click on the label)
Increased number of decimal places
Input values are now kept when switching between calculate angle and calculate distance
Improved layout to better accommodate higher resolution screens
Brought to you by KS Analytical Systems (http://www.ksanalytical.com), Diffraction Calculator was developed to calculate the diffraction angle or spacing between diffraction planes for both x-ray and electron diffraction. It uses Bragg's Law to determine the angle or spacing based on inputs of order, wavelength.
A look-up table provides common wavelength values for a variety of x-ray sources (including copper, chromium, iron, cobalt, molybdenum, manganese, silver and tungsten) and electron accelerating voltages (80, 100, 120, 200, 300, 400).
This app will be extremely useful to anyone involved in electron microscopy, materials characterization, crystallography, x-ray diffraction, solid state physics, semiconductors, etc.
If you have any suggestions for improvements or enhancements to this app, please contact us via our web site or email address.
