Discover Dalriada Mid Argyll is your digital active travel guide to a series of walking and cycling trails in Mid Argyll, and around the stunning Crinan Canal - known as ‘Scotland’s most beautiful shortcut’, on the West Coast of Scotland.
There are seven self-guided trails included in this digital active travel guide - ranging from relatively flat routes around the waterfront in Lochgilphead, or idyllic walks along the Crinan Canal and into Knapdale’s amazing temperate rainforest, to Kilmartin Glen past some of the most important and densely packed prehistoric sites in Scotland.
Each trail page includes a route synopsis, map and detailed route description to allow you to decide whether or not the trail is suitable for you.
To keep all your group entertained there are over 30 Eye Spy games and challenges to be discovered and answered at locations in the app. Earn points on completing these, adding to your total shown in the achievements section - can you score over 80% to win the explorer challenge?

About 'Dalriada'
Dalriada (also spelled Dalriata) was a Gaelic kingdom that existed in the western coast of Scotland during the early medieval period. It encompassed parts of what is now Argyll and Bute, stretching from roughly the 6th to the 9th century AD. Mid Argyll refers to the central region of Argyll, and it was a significant area within the kingdom of Dalriada.
