Long time ago, there is a two youngster follow their dad to forest for adventure. Their adventurous days are including stepping on moutains and rivers, overcoming obstacles and moving forward. One day, they sat on a riverside to rest, then while they at there, they use both their hands to reap the mud, they discovered gold! The name Raub is originated from a Malay word "meraup" which means "reap".

Initially they used the word "raup", then later on it change to the name Raub. That day onwards, Raub has became a gold mine haven.

After the days of gold mining, Raub has became rather quiet than before. But recently, because of Musang King, Raub has attracted a lot of people and then they realize at this place have traditional snacks, natural environment and many more! It takes about 1hour30minutes or 2 hours to reach here from Kuala Lumpur. You can see that a lot of tourist start to look for nice foods and seek for antique buildings and many more.

A little further away from the town, Raub is a place that surrounded by green nature and woods. The fresh air and comfortable environment of this small mountain town, has become a good place to come on the weekend. Can get away from busy city life, and getting closer to nature, relax your mind and stress away area.

The elders who have lived here are our tour guide at this area, you can see their life and the hardwork that they done, you can also see how they dedicate to their life. Each of their life not only represent different work style and also a right attitude towards life and teaches me a lot of valuable lesson about life.
