Disability Inclusive Voter Education (DIVE) is an initiative of STEP (Special Talent Exchange Program) developed during the project on ‘Inclusion of Persons with disabilities in Political and Democratic Process’ is implemented in Pakistan under sub-grant agreement with IFES (International Foundation for Electoral Systems).

DIVE will connect Persons with disability rights information that can bridge them to key stake holders from where they can claim their rights and access to different government entitlements. It will provide information and guidance to users to learn how to take part in elections actively, how to influence policy and planning in the favor of Persons with disabilities. It will facilitate them to utilize opportunities and services available to them in their respective districts.

Since, there is lack of information on civic and fundamental right of persons with disabilities therefore it is a need of the hour to have such platform which is accessible and provides all types of information to persons with disabilities which they require with.

DIVE will be a one-stop source for all persons of disabilities in Pakistan, combining them on one platform where they could get all disability related news and updates in addition to the briefs on procedure to practice their electoral rights and participation in democratization process such as how to contest elections. DIVE will also help its users get registered and database can be helpful to issue their Disability Certificate.

Features:

DIVE will enable user to benefit from all content available within the application along with some customize options to manage content according to their desires/need. Please refer to below details of each feature.

User Registration Form:
The user will be asked for some basic information to provide future decision/promotions.

Menu:
The Menu will comprise of following buttons. The details of each menu button were also described below.

Categories:
DIVE could have multiple parent and sub categories. Thus, an extensive level of categories will be available for user to visit and benefit post/article. Each category contains thumbnail for visual representation of category for the user.

Search Area:
The search bar will also be available for users to search category on respective landing page.

Notifications:
The application will download the data from server thru push notification. This will enable device to inform user with notification about addition of new content in application. The user can easily access TOP 8 notifications by using this Menu button regardless of category.

Marked Posts:
DIVE also enables user to mark any post/content available in any category relevant to his/her interest. Those marked posts/content will be able for quick reference/access using Marked Post Menu option. There will be no limit so user can add "x" number of posts in marked section.

Favorites Categories:
Likewise, Marked Posts, DIVE will also allow user to add any category in his favorites for quick benefit. Thus, all the subcategories of the added categories in favorites could be accessible from a single click without any difficulty.

Accessibility:
Application will be accessible by all types of disabilities i.e. hearing and visual impairments and by all those people who are socially literate.

Information:
All Information related to disability rights and particularly voting rights persons with disabilities will be available.
Links of all mobile applications relevant to disabilities will be maintained by application.
