Design patterns of clothing
Some clothing design patterns can be found here
In sewing or clothing designs, shades are pieces of paper that are prototypes of clothing parts or sewing sewing products. The pattern serves as an example to avoid mistakes when cutting the cloth. In addition to wearing a homemade pattern, one can sew at home using a ready pattern that is published by women's magazines.
When making clothing, this style is adjusted to the size of the body shape and clothing model. For stitched clothing to be ordered, before the pattern is made, certain parts of the user's body are measured one by one with the measuring tape. Body parts measured from the size of the circumference of the neck, chest width, chest length, waist circumference and long back. Before drawing in actual size, the design patterns can also be drawn in small sizes based on the scale in the costume book.
There are two main techniques for creating archetypes
1. Flat construction (flat pattern, English: flat pattern-drafting).
Flat construction is drawing patterns on paper using accurate measurements. The pattern drawer should be able to imagine the final result when the pattern is transferred to the fabric, and finished sewn as a garment. In drawing patterns with flat construction techniques are known methods named after the creator, for example: Danckaerts, Cuppens Geurs, Meyneke, Dressmaking, and So-En.
2. Solid construction (pattern pattern, English: block)
Patterns are made by making a muslin cloth or calico cloth on a sewing doll or directly over the user's body. Cloth pinned with needle pentol while arranged to fit the body shape of sewing dolls. The fabric on the sides of the arms, neck, and waist is cut according to the desired clothing design. When made of fabric, pieces of the pattern that has been so can be sewn to be used as prototype clothes. After the clothes are finished sewn, the sewing doll is used again for clothes and sees the fall of the seams.
Basic patterns for various types of clothing such as blouses, skirts, dresses, or shirts can be used as sewing examples, but do not have a model. The skirt of the archetype for example, can only be equipped with a zipper on the back, but has no model, pleated or wrinkled. When created, the size of the archetype adjusted to the wearer's body size or standard body size (S, M, L) is used for men, women, or children.
The basic pattern of women's clothing, for example, consists of:
1. Face and rear body pattern
2. Pattern face and rear skirt
3. Arm pattern
4. The basic pattern of the dress
