About Drowsy Driver Android App

-On average, every 30s, one person dies somewhere in the world due to a car crash and a high proportion of these car crashes involve drowsy & fatigued drivers.
-It is projected that these figures could be increased by 65% in the next 20 years.
-Most of the existing drivers monitoring systems are in the form of specialized embedded hardware present only in luxurious vehicles.
-Unfortunately, the majority of the world’s driving population does not own such high-end vehicles and thus does not have access to any form of driver monitoring systems.
-The "Drowsy Driver app" can provide a feasible and fruitful solution for the above mentioned problems. Using a mobile holder, if the smartphone is mounted on the car dash board facing the driver, the Drowsy Driver app will continuously monitor driver eyes and alert the driver if he feels drowsy.
-“The best part is, the size of the app is less than 1 MB and consumes same power as the native camera app in the mobile phone”.

Instructions :
1. Just download the app and install it on your mobile phone.
2. Connect your mobile phone to the car audio system (optional).
3. Place the mobile phone on the car mobile holder.
4. Turn on the app and it will monitor you. :)

PS: Make sure that your mobile phone has a snapdragon processor and for effective detection in low lights kindly use a Near-Infra-Red (NIR) illumination.
