easy hue is a third-party app for Philips Hue, which, despite being very easy to use, has an enormous range of functions and thus fulfills the wishes of enthusiastic Philips Hue friends. In addition to the basic functions, the app also masters the configuration of all switches, rotary switches and motion sensors, as well as access to up to 5 Hue Bridges. The free version of easy hue allows a limited number of actions, after which an upgrade to the inexpensive full version is required. easy hue does not collect any user data and does not annoy the user with advertising, but is financed by purchasing the upgrade to the full version.

The most important main functions:
- Control of all lights including activation of dynamic effects such as campfire and candlelight.
- Organization and control of rooms and zones.
- Creation and editing of scenes with static and also dynamic light configurations (color loops).
- Automation of the Hue Bridge via alarms and timers with a wide range of functions.
- All buttons of all switches can be assigned several functions via multiple button presses, e.g. to activate lights or scenes, set color or brightness level and much more.
- Configuration of motion sensors to turn on specified lights when motion is detected. If necessary, the function can be combined with the ambient brightness. Additionally a period of time can be specified after which the lights switch off again automatically.
- Control of up to 5 Hue Bridges.

Limitations:
- easy hue can currently only be used within the local network.
