De Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit waarschuwt consumenten om bepaalde eieren niet te eten omdat het gehalte van de schadelijke stof fipronil daarin te hoog is. Het eten ervan kan een acuut gevaar opleveren voor de volksgezondheid.
Controleer of de door u aangeschafte eieren veilig zijn voor consumptie door de ei code in te voeren die geprint staat op het ei.
De lijst van gevaarlijke ei codes wordt zo actueel mogelijk gehouden. The Dutch Food Safety Authority warns consumers not to eat some eggs because the content of harmful substance Fipronil it is too high. Eating it can cause an acute threat to public health.
