This app provides:

• interactive conversations;
• listen, understand, record and compare;
• interactive pronunciation practice.

This app is part of the Encounters – English here and now series which is designed especially for learners involved in Service English encounters with foreign visitors in Brazil. The book uses a series of face-to-face encounters selected to develop the essential listening and speaking skills needed by service personnel. It builds up learner self-confidence and fluency through a series of teacher-led activities leading to role-play and flexible language production.

The course follows an interconnected structural, functional, and lexical syllabus and uses chunks of language as the basis for learning.
