In Evripos strait, the water stream changing nearly every six hours, and depends mostly on Moon and the tide it causes. The application is calculating, the moon and sun geographical, position and trying to calculate the tide that their attractive forces create.
Then using a statistical study on the stream, it finds the times in the day that stream change trend. On map it shows the positions of the moon (white circle), of the sun (yellow circle) and the antipode of the moon (black circle). Also gives the geographical coordinates.
The red and green curves follow the sun and the moon and give the trend of the stream when those passing from the yellow line that is on Chalcis coordinates. The red curve represents straight from South to North and green curve from North to South. Also you can change the date and hour by press the two button “change date” and “change time”
The study, which this application is based on, is still continues so the result is just theoretical and experimental. Near the moons quarters the straight is more difficult to predict because the tide is short and the straight is affected more from the weather conditions."
