Futhur in the sense of a fasting person means "break the fast". The term iftar is to be understood in an essential way not by syar'i. If the iftar understanding ceases in the sense of shari'ah, then breaking the fast is meaningless except to break the fast by eating / drinking at the time of maghrib. The orientation is only biological, jasadiyah.

Typically, the open term is more identical as a start, not a symbol denoting a termination. However, in general terms, the term "open" is defined as a cover of fasting. للصآئم فرحتان: فرحة عند الفطور وفرحة عند لقآء ربه.

In the Hadith, the happiness of the fast is harmonized with the happiness of meeting God. Happiness to meet God is spiritual, then blessed happiness is also a spiritual happiness.
