Fiatlux è uno strumento pensato per aiutare le persone ipovedenti nei loro movimenti quotidiani, evitando gli ostacoli che si presentano sul cammino. L'ipovedente è guidato da una voce sintetizzata, che gli suggerisce i movimenti.

L'applicazione è nata da un progetto di ricerca del Politecnico di Bari, ed è basata sulla tecnica del real-time stereo matching and disparity computation per stimare la distanza degli oggetti ripresi dal dispositivo.Note: The application is only compatible with LG 3D smartphone.

Fiatlux is a tool designed to help the visually impaired in their daily movements, avoiding obstacles that arise on the way. The low vision is driven by a synthesized voice, that suggests the movements.

The application was created by a research project of the University of Bari, and is based on the technique of real-time stereo matching and disparity computation to estimate the distance of objects recovered from the device.
