El 1er festival internacional de cine de tequila (FICT) será un espacio para el desarrollo y la formación del talento cinematográfico en México, destinado a potenciar en los nuevos cineastas la sensibilidad, la iniciativa, la imaginación y la creatividad en un marco referencial de la mexicanidad. Estará enfocado al público universitario de todo el país, el enfoque será académico, de formación y desarrollo.

El FICT contara con un concurso de “casa” denominado “Hecho en Jalisco”, concurso dirigido a todos aquellos productores y directores de corto y largometraje que pertenezcan o residan en el Estado de Jalisco, para que presenten sus trabajos en el género de ficción.

A la par del festival se desarrollará el “1er. Congreso Académico Internacional de Cine”, Con la intención de generar “La formación e intercambio creativo entre realizadores de la Cinematografía”. Este congreso, será un foro donde los creadores más reconocidos compartirán su conocimiento a través de proyecciones, ponencias, homenajes, exposiciones, conciertos, talleres y más.

El objetivo del FICT, es lograr ser el punto de encuentro para fomentar y difundir el pensamiento crítico-artístico-cinematográfico entre los participantes y público, creando las condiciones que beneficien la derrama económica y la integración de la sociedad, gobierno e iniciativa privada y contribuir así, al desarrollo artístico, turístico y cultural de Tequila, con actividades formativas de expresión y apreciación cinematográfica.The 1st International Film Festival of tequila (SCIF) will be a space for the development and training of film talent in Mexico, aimed at promoting the new filmmakers sensitivity, initiative, imagination and creativity in a framework of mexicanidad. SCIF will feature a contest of "house" called "Made in Jalisco" contest aimed at all producers and directors of short and feature films belonging to or reside in the State of Jalisco, to submit their works in the genre of fiction.

Along with the festival will be held the "1st. Film International Academic Conference ", with the intention of creating" The training and creative exchange between filmmakers of Cinematography ". This conference will be a forum where the most renowned creators share their knowledge through screenings, lectures, tributes, exhibitions, concerts, workshops and more.

The goal of SCIF, is to become the meeting point for promoting and disseminating the film-artistic-critical thinking among participants and audience, creating conditions that benefit the economic benefit and the integration of society, government and private initiative and contribute so, the artistic, tourist and cultural development of Tequila, with training activities of expression and film appreciation.
