About Find Golf Ball Trial Android App
Shot your golf ball to nowhere again ? The principle of this app is to store a good bearing (heading) to the lost ball and to control your direct way to the ball by GPS.
In detail: Stand still. Start FindGolfBall App, wait for > 4 satellites. Aim exactly (portrait mode, white line) at last seen ball position, wait for mag heading value to stabilize (mag heading text will turn white). Press 'AIM TARGET'. Walk 20-30 meters straight into target, align walk path with (only a few!) 'B-' and 'B+' taps. Modify ball distance with 'D+' and 'D-' (full version only). Tap and move finger to move landscape, pinch to zoom in and out. Walk straight (or around obstacles!) into the center of the landing zone of the ball. Find ball, be happy, then press 'END SEARCH'.
This is the evaluation version of the FindGolfBall App. Use it for free to test the app's basic short distance functionality, your phone's magnetometer and GPS. Please regularly calibrate your magnetometer (described in APP menu) and stay away from metal during the aiming process. To be able to set ball distances and see your GPS position without the 80 m limitation please purchase the full version from Google Play Store for the price of less then one premium golf ball! Please purchase only if this test version works ok !

FAQ
Question: Can I aim at my ball sitting in a golf cart ?
Answer: You can, but results will be very bad (magnetometer interference). Please always "aim target" at least 5 m away from the golf cart !
