About Find My Android/Kindle Free Android App
Works like Find My iPhone, but it's for your Android devices.
Once the App is installed and configured, you can use the web site to:
- locate your device using GPS or network triangulation
- play a sound on the device
Requirements:
- location service must be turned on to locate device
- must be connected to Internet
- must have Google account on device
Notes:
- there's no impact on battery life when idle
- App uses GCM(Google Cloud Messaging) push messages, so it doesn't need to run in the background to receive messages
- doesn't need SMS like other apps, so work on tablets
- log in to http://findmykindle.net/ using same account as your device
