About Food Tracker - Lose Weight Android App

FoodTracker (FT) is an easy-to-use out of the box mobile app that helps you control the amount of food you eat and lose weight without the need to count calories.
While most weight-loss applications use a calorie calculator or calorie tracking counter that requires the user to know how many calories he consumes, and waste time on counting calories, with Food Tracker you don’t need to do any of that! All you need to do is just click on your smartphone every time you eat and FT will do the work for you – eat and click!

FoodTracker is using the BMI (Body Mass Index) and BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) models to help you lose weight!
On your first use, you’ll go through a one-time setup and fill a few simple metrics in FT (weight, height etc.); by that you allow FT to reach a maximum level of accuracy when calculating your daily consumed calories and show you your progress.

When creating this awesome app our vision was to allow users to easily & effectively monitor their weight; we have created five different buttons - XS, S, M, L & XL, each represents the size of the meal you just ate as you see it in your eyes. Just had a huge steak? Click the XL button. Had a small cookie with your coffee? Hit the S button. No more looking up endless tables of calories just to get an irrelevant figure!
Please note - it is very important that you choose the size based on your feeling, as the application was designed exactly for that use. It is true that your small meal may be bigger or smaller than other people’s small meal, but for you the small will be the same small every time…

We conducted many researches and found that “feeling” works much better than counting calories, as one’s feeling is individual and fits perfectly to them. You know best how much you ate and what size it is considered in your own private scale.

By hitting one of the size buttons every time you eat, three things happen:
1. Recording - the FT incremental counter adds one to your daily meals number, the date & time you ate are recorded and the size you choose is recorded as well.

2. Display - the FT graphical bar is raising, showing you where you stand compared with your daily average. The graph is split into three colors:
• Keep inside the green area if you wish to lose weight
• Keep inside the yellow area if you wish to keep your current weight
• Keep inside the red area if you wish to gain wait

3. A friendly male / female (based on your gender) character is getting bigger and fatter, effecting your subconscious and lets your brain record its size and react accordingly.

So, having a small snack, a cup of coffee or a large meal? We encourage you to hit a size button every time you eat, regardless to what you eat.

The FoodTracker features four visual graphs that will allow you to follow your performance and realize what your weak points are so that you’ll be able to work on them:
• The daily graph shows how much you ate per hour during every day for a desired date range.
• The weekly graph shows how much you eat every day during a specific week.
• The monthly graph shows how much you eat during a specific month.
• The unique hourly graph shows an average of what you ate per hour of the day. This will allow you to identify what your “tough hours” are and react accordingly.

Drink Button
• The Drink Button is an easy way to count the amount of glass of water you drink a day.
• We recommend is to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
• In case you drink a drink with calories we suggest you to click on the "food" button accordingly as well.

We will highly appreciate your feedback and suggestions.

The FoodTracker team.
