About Forest Friend Android App
The FOREST FRIEND application allows the citizen to compensate their pollution emissions from their movements in motor vehicles. Through geo-referencing, the application registers the distances traveled. Uniting this information with the vehicle used, the application, based on GHG Protocol parameters (globally recognized), calculates the amount of greenhouse gas being emitted and thrown into the atmosphere.
It measures the amount of pollution in kilograms, thrown into the atmosphere, from urban and intercity commuting, according to the mode of transportation used.
The application operates computing monthly periods, providing information on the user's pollution emissions, allowing them to be compensated through the acquisition of Forest Credits, which will clear the footprints, eliminating their trace of greenhouse gas emissions (pollution) .
