About Fractal Scout Android App
Welcome to the world of fractals where some of the most complex detail is created from the most basic mathematics. Fractal Scout allows you to explore a selection of fractals including the stunning and mysterious Mandelbrot Set.
Fractal Scout offers both 3D and 2D fractals for you to discover. Iterate, scroll and zoom to view even the finest details invisible to the naked eye.

The Mandelbrot Set develops in real-time and supports a variety of colouring options through use of the easily accessible sidebar (drag it open if required). It can be raised to higher powers to offer even greater variety. Fractal Scout allows you to magnify an area a staggering 100 trillion times. Built in screen capture allows you to store images exactly as they are created and the bookmark feature allows you to return to areas you find interesting at a later time.
Usage Tips
* Tap to perform an iteration (Mandelbrot auto iterates).
* Drag to move.
* Pinch-in/pinch-out to magnify an area.
* Press the back button to undo an iteration, hold to reset.
* Drag the side bar from the left for additional options.
* For the most interesting details in the Mandelbrot Set, focus on the border between the colours and the inner black area (the inner black area is the actual Mandelbrot Set).
External write permission is required for screen capture.
