Reliance JioFiber home broadband service could be launched around Diwali. According to reports, the tariff that Jio is planning may disrupt the home broadband market in India. The Economic Times reported that JioFiber, the home broadband service will start in Diwali and Reliance could offer upto 100GB of data at a price of just Rs 500. The report quoted people who were familiar with the Jio offers that will be unveiled later this year. Meanwhile, this is not the only report which suggests Reliance JioFiber’s 2017 launch.FTTH is a broadband network architecture using optical fiber to provide all or part of the local loop used for last mile telecommunications.The service is called Jio Fiber and it will be rolled out as a Preview offer in the coming weeks. According to the reports, Jio has already started trials in various cities and is ready for commercial launch. Jio Fiber broadband plans will start from 100 Mbps speed. Reliance Jio’s upcoming FTTH service is not just about speed and tariff, it has several other features to offer.
