Gateway Church's story started with a dream and a vision that was birthed in the hearts of their founding pastor and his wife. They felt God wanting them to start a church family that would effectively fulfill the great commission and be the "Gateway to the City" of Elk City, Oklahoma. Gateway Church was started in May of 2005 with only a hand full of members and the dream and vision in one pastor and his wife heart. Even though there the growth was not automatic, the birth of the church and the dream that was planted had started. With every service came new faces and the hope and joy of the tiny growing church shined onto the city.

Today, that dream and vision has not stop but continues to grow as God is directing the church. Gateway Church is a vibrant church that has grown from being just an influence in the community of Elk City to impacting the other surrounding cities and even the world for Christ. The best part is that God is continuing to increase the dream and vision of Gateway Church as it strives to serve as the "Gateway to the City" and even the world.
