Deze app illustreert een week uit het leven van neurochirurg dr. Erik Van de Kelft en toont de - vaak onverwachte - aspecten van de job en het leven.
Dr Erik Van de Kelft studeerde af als doctor in de heel-, genees- en verloskunde met grote onderscheiding aan de Universiteit Antwerpen in 1985.
Hij werd erkend neurochirurg in 1993.

Hij startte zijn carrière als vast staflid in de dienst Neurochirurgie in het UZA en tevens als consulent in het AZ Maria Middelares in Sint-Niklaas. In deze periode werd hij ook doctor in de Biomedische Wetenschappen met een proefschrift over de moleculaire genetica van kwaadaardige hersentumoren.
In de loop van de jaren werd Dr. Van de Kelft vooral bekend om zijn expertise in de rugchirurgie en in de heelkundige behandeling van aangezichtspijnen.

Dr. Erik Van de Kelft graduated as a doctor in the whole, medicine and obstetrics with high honors from the University of Antwerp in 1985.
He was recognized neurosurgeon in 1993.

He started his career as a permanent staff member in the department of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital of Antwerp and also as a consultant in the Maria Middelares in Sint-Niklaas. During this period he was also a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a thesis on the molecular genetics of malignant brain tumors.
In the course of the years, Dr. Was The Kelft best known for its expertise in spinal surgery and the surgical treatment of facial pain.
