GeigerCounter application designed to measure background radiation (radioactivity level), together with the dosimeter, which is connected to the audio jacks (microphone input) smartphone.
With the app you can use dosimeters:
1 - have the ability to directly connect to the audio jack of the smartphone;
2 - connected to the audio jack of the smartphone through a matching device.
Details pairing dosimeter with your smartphone described in http://foxylab.com/GeigerCounter.php?en#matching.
The complex of dosimeter and Android-smartphone with the app GeigerCounter allows you to quickly and accurately assess the level of radiation in open areas and in the rooms.
The application allows continuous measuring the count rate (in counts per minute, CPM) and determines the average, minimum and maximum values of the counting rate. To stabilize the readings used an algorithm for calculating a moving average with a window size of 15 minutes.
Also, the application determines the geographical coordinates of the smartphone.
The application also has the ability to send measurement results on the monitoring server (for example, http://mon.foxylab.com). More information can be found on http://foxylab.com/GeigerCounter.php?en#monitoring.
Measurement protocol is saved in a file in the folder /GeigerCounter on the SD-card smartphone.
Minimum screen resolution – 480 x 800.
