About Genius Measure Android App
Genius Measure is an innovative utility application available for Android users.
This application allows the users to measure the distance, height of a steady object and speed of a moving object. All it uses is geometric equations. Genius measure uses the phone’s camera and the accelerometer to triangulate the distance and height of the object.
To use this application you must have a camera, accelerometer and a calibrator in your phone.
Following are the steps to measure distance:
1. Calibrate your phone and set the height of the phone from the ground level (You can do this from the settings menu)
2. Within the application point the crosshair to the bottom of the object,
3. This helps you to find the distance of the object from the place you stand.
Now in order to measure the height all you have to do is this:
4. Measure the distance as described above. Tilt the camera to the top of the object to find its height.
Following are the steps to measure the speed:
1. Calibrate your phone and set the height of the phone from the ground level (You can do this from the settings menu)
2. Use the cross hair on the phone to traverse the path of the moving object to calculate its speed.
