This is an introductory educational cinematic lighting simulator for Google Cardboard. Any GoogleVR "cardboard" headset or spectacles can be used to view two different human models lit using a 3-point lighting system - keylight, fill, rimlight in addition to an adjustable background light.
Set different background patterns with gobos (also known as "Cookies" in the film world) and color gels to set different moods and swap gels from tungsten to daylight color temperatures as you teleport around the filming stage to understand the effects of these lighting changes!
You can also teleport to different locations on the soundstage to read about how the different lights and their filters are typically used.
How to Operate: Point the reticle over the spheres on the ground and tap the screen (or press the button on your headset) to teleport to different locations in the scene. You can use this same technique to turn on and off the various checkboxes to turn lights on or off and see the effect it has on the human model.
You can also turn all the text off by unchecking the "UI Toggle" option or swap between a male or a female model to see the effects of different color temperatures on wardrobe and skin tone.
This app also demonstrates a method for using "diegetic" menus to convey text in a VR experience.
Please leave a positive rating if you enjoy this experience, to encourage continued development.
