The game involves two pieces - one is the long wooden stick Danda and another a small oval-shaped piece of wood, Ghilli. The Ghilli is placed on the ground. Once the player sets the target, he hits the Ghilli with the Dhanda which rises it up in the air. The player then hits the Ghilli in the air towards the target to hit it.
