About Global POI Finder Android App
Global POI Finder lets you travel World Map via the GPS keyboard or the search function.
Both landscape and portrait mode is supported .
When app loading tries to get your last known location .
If that fails then places you in New York City , USA .
With joystic you can place your marker everywhere on Earth .
POIS button returns on map the PointsOfInterest around this point .
Press on a Poi marker and you will be redirected to the corresponding wikipedia page .
Reset Button travels you back on your real position(or New York City if GPS is unavailable) .
Clear Button clears all Poils markers and centers map to your marker .
Enter a term in SearchArea and press Search to view the matching results .
Select a result to locate yourself there .
The app contains full screen ads from Amazon or Admob(if applicable).
The ads are displayed 60 seconds after launching the app and every two minutes .
If the app grows too big because of the map tiles just "Clear data" under Settings/Apps/Global Poi Finder .
The app makes use of the official Wikipedia Geodata Service and the Nominatim API.
