You may also get a few new ideas too to think about. It’s the collection of moments you glimpsed through your screen once.

GYST is a free, easy-to-use, privacy focused productivity tool to capture, organize & share screenshots the easy way. With GYST, you can capture a screenshot with just a click on “Screenshot Actions” in the notification tile under Quick Settings Drawer, automatically set a random screenshot as your wallpaper to re-discover them on an Android device & share password protected screenshots with your friends.


How does it ensure privacy?
All screenshots are saved into a hidden directory. The app doesn't broadcast any message about the new screenshot. Any other app can't access screenshots directly. Only you can browse them, share or delete. Also the app doesn’t require INTERNET permission.

How does it work?
● Android 7 & higher: Once installed, you can add the “Screenshot Actions” & “GYST-Wall” Notification tile to your Quick Settings Drawer.

More Ways to Take Screenshot with Screenshot Actions
● Just Save: As the name says it just saves the current view as a screenshot.
● Save & Open: Saves a screenshot & opens it in the GYST app.
● Save & Add To Stack: Saves a screenshot & opens it in the GYST app on add to stack screen.
● Save & Share: Saves a screenshot & opens it in the GYST app on the share screen.
● Don’t Save. Just Share: Doesn’t save the screenshot & still lets you share it.
All screenshots are saved in a hidden private directory & only visible in the GYST app.

Stay Organized with Stacks
● Create new stacks like shopping, notes, ideas, recipes, finance to organize your screenshots.
● Add screenshots to multiple related stacks.


Find Screenshots Fast with Search (English only)
The text in all your screenshots will be indexed automatically and ready for search, so you can just type keywords in the search bar and find the screenshots you want very quickly. Note that screenshots without text won’t appear in search results.

Take Action on Text (English only)
With the screenshot text scanner button, you can extract text from screenshots within one tap, and then copy the text for further actions like search for products, share quotes, open links or more, just like Google Lens.

Discover Screenshots with GYST-Wall
● Enabled: Discover a random screenshot as your device wallpaper (lock screen too) whenever you unlock your device. Configurable from Settings screen.
● Disabled/Paused: Stops setting screenshot as wallpaper. The device wallpaper will persist to be the last one set by this app. You can set your own wallpaper as you do otherwise.

Discover Screenshots with GYST-Window
● Enabled: Shows a random screenshot whenever you unlock your device. Configurable from Settings screen.
● Disabled: Tap to enable.

Forget Long Screenshots. SS + Link is Here
No more hassle of taking Long Screenshots. Capture screenshots with their source link directly by sharing the link to GYST SS + Link option. This option will save the shared link along with the current view screenshot. You can check the link later from the Go to source link button. When sharing, the link will automatically be shared along with the screenshot.

Share Your Shots with Privacy
Share your private screenshots with password protection. Only people who have the password can view that screenshot.
