Note: The gift owner is the user who created the gift who would be responsible of purchasing the gift and delivering it to the gifted person. The money transfer made by any contributor goes directly to the project owner PayPal account.
How it works:
1. Before creating a gift project, please make sure that your Facebook email and Paypal email matches. If they don’t, then you need to either change your Facebook email to match your Paypal email, or create a new Paypal account using the same email you are using for Facebook.
2. Login with your Facebook account.
3. Create a gift project for someone using the email of his Facebook account (it is important to use the same email he uses for his Facebook account).
4. Tell your friend to download the app (or use it from any device) and Login with his Facebook account that uses the same email as the one used when creating the gift project.
5. Your friend, the gifted person, will be notified to accept the gift created.
6. Once gift is accepted, the gift owner will find it listed in his gifts and he can share it on his timeline or invite his friends to contribute to the gift.
7. Any Facebook friend of the gifted person will find the gift listed under invitations once he logs in to the app with his Facebook account.
8. Any invited friends can choose to contribute to the gift.
9. Payments made are permanent regardless of whether the total payment reaches its target, exceeded it or not reaching it.
10. The gift initiator can add other gift options to cover different target range in case the total amount collected does not cover the originally intended gift or if it overachieved.
11. Once the target date passes, contributions to the gift stops. The gift initiator can use the money collected to her paypal account and purchase the gift to the gifted person.
12. The gifted person can see all the contributors and their contributed amount in case the contributor chooses to make this information available.
