हनुमान चालीसा तुलसीदास की एक काव्यात्मक कृति है जिसमें प्रभु राम के महान भक्त हनुमान के गुणों एवं कार्यों का चालीस चौपाइयों में वर्णन है। यह अत्यन्त लघु रचना है जिसमें पवनपुत्र श्री हनुमान जी की सुन्दर स्तुति की गई है। इसमें बजरंग बली‍ की भावपूर्ण वंदना तो है ही, श्रीराम का व्यक्तित्व भी सरल शब्दों में उकेरा गया है।

वैसे तो पूरे भारत में यह लोकप्रिय है किन्तु विशेष रूप से उत्तर भारत में यह बहुत प्रसिद्ध एवं लोकप्रिय है। लगभग सभी हिन्दुओं को यह कंठस्थ होती है। कहा जाता है कि इसके पाठ से भय दूर होता है, क्लेष मिटते हैं। इसके गंभीर भावों पर विचार करने से मन में श्रेष्ठ ज्ञान के साथ भक्तिभाव जाग्रत होता है।
