En 1911, un ancien jockey américain convainc un ami new-yorkais de démonter son bar de Manhattan, pour le replacer intégralement rue Daunou à Paris. Harry MacElhone est alors sollicité pour ouvrir le bar le jour de Thanksgiving, le 26 novembre 1911. L'aventure commence !



Depuis lors, les générations se sont succédées dans cet endroit mythique. Des écrivains comme Hemingway, Sartre ou Blondin sont venus goûter à quelques uns des plus grands cocktails qui y ont été créés, tels le Bloody Mary ou le White Lady.

In 1911, a former US jockey New York convinces a friend to dismantle his Manhattan bar, to replace fully Daunou Street in Paris. Harry MacElhone is then asked to open the bar on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1911. The adventure begins!

 

Since then, generations have succeeded in this mythical place. Writers such as Hemingway, Sartre and Blondin came to taste some of the greatest cocktails that were created there, such as the Bloody Mary or the White Lady.
