Based on user feedback, instead of introducing a new App with a slightly different name and declaring EOL for Release 1 App, we came up with an elegant solution. This update replaces Release 1 App that contained the TTS Engine and voice database with Release 2 voice only App. When the App is opened, it directs the user to Play Store for install Release 2 TTS Engine unless it is already installed on the device.
About Punjabi Text To Speech by Hear Android App
This App contains the Punjabi Female voice database for Hear2Read Text To Speech (TTS) Engine App.
Please install this after installing Hear2Read Text To Speech Engine App to read Gurumukhi Unicode text. When the Engine App is used next, it learns about the Voice App and makes a copy of the voice database for generating synthetic speech.
If the voice App is deleted, it is also deleted from the list of voices available to Hear2Read Text To Speech Engine App.
