About HIP Recorder Android App
HIP Recorder is a cloud service that allows you to record, store, analyze and play back your phone calls.
In combination with one of the Playback subscriptions to the HIP hosted PBX, the user can use the HIP Recorder app to record calls ad hoc. After each call, the user receives a push message asking him to save the call. If no action is taken, the recording remains available for 3 days.
In order to limit the number of push messages, Playback users can create lists for:
- Blacklist: Contacts whose Playback never needs to be saved. For example, the voicemail number can be stored here.
- Whitelist: Contacts for which the Playback should always be saved.
The HIP Recorder app can also be used in combination with a standard call recording subscription to the HIP hosted telephone exchange instead of a Playback subscription. In that case, the user can not use the Black- or Whitelisting.
The recording service is directly linked to the HIP telephone exchange. So there are no facilities (such as extra hardware) required. In combination with VAMO, HIP Call Recorder even makes it possible to record mobile calls.
