About Hunter's Log Android App

The Hunter's Log is a MajorForms android application meant for licensed hunters. The application allows you to track and document your hunting trip incorporating images, video, audio recordings, and/or text. It also allows you to track (with GPS) all or parts of your trip and enables the data to be synchronized to a free website created by you to store, edit, and/or share your trip with others. You can also allow family and friends to view your hunting during or after your trip by sharing it through your website, Facebook or Google+, Twitter, Linkedin, e-mail, etc. Once the hunting trip is uploaded to your website, you can edit the data, create reports and/or maps, and download the data or reports to spreadsheets or other documents. You do not need to have access to the internet to run the application, but if you do, you can upload your data and preserve it. In addition, the application comes with tools such as weather documentation which records the temperature, pressure, humidity, wind direction, etc. for each event. There is also a theodolite that enables you to determine distance to the game being stalked. The application now automatically documents the weather for each event. Give it a try, it is free. Highlights:

Track your trip via constant GPS readings. Track unlimited paths within each hunting trip (for example, your trip broken down into tracks for each day) and have each track/path displayed on a map in different colors.

Create events within your hunting trip documenting kills, sightings, camp sites, stands, etc. Each event is marked along your GPS track(s) with a pin on Google maps allowing instant access to the media you have captured.

When an event is created it automatically documents the longitude, latitude, altitude, time, date, and weather with instant access to the smartphone or tablet camera, audio recorder, notes, and a theodolite (for calculating distances to or elevation of objects) to further document the event.

Each event comes with formatted fields to record a description of the event, detailed notes, weapon used, type of game, weight, length, distance to game, hit point, escape distance, hunting score, etc. Specific fields can be hidden and an unlimited number of additional fields can be added.

Create your own free website to share your trip with others in real time. The website includes a gallery of your videos and images along with standard Google maps with tracks and pins representing events.

Don't worry about the loss of any media, data, or memories. The Hunter's Log application automatically synchronizes your data in the background in our database and, if desired, you website, effectively backing up your data for later use.

Once you return from your trip, the memories collected can be downloaded to a spreadsheet, powerpoint, or other documents. You can also extensively filter the information to hone in on certain aspects of your trip. Our reports section of the website allows you to create specialized documents and graphs from the filtered data.

If others are on your trip with you, they can add their own events, media and data, through their smartphones or tablets, to each event if you choose to share your username with them. All smartphones and tablets will be instantaneously updated with the shared information through the Hunter's Log application and include all the collected information on your website. Or each individual on the trip can create their own account and website on MajorForms to document the trip themselves.

Make your own trip video or powerpoint presentation automatically once you return to memorialize the trip. With one click, the videos, maps, and images are integrated into a video timeline or a powerpoint presentation.
