About HyperRail - Belgian trains Android App

Hyperrail is a free and open source* unofficial routeplanner for the NMBS/SNCB.
Made for Belgian commuters, by a Belgian commuter, this app is meant to show you everything you need in a single glimpse. Look up timetables, search for connections between stations, or check the current disturbances on the rail network.

Look up timetables
Look up timetables for every station, see the actual delays and platforms for every train.

Plan your route
Plan a route between any two Belgian stations, quickly compare multiple possibilities, and get all the information you need from a single screen. If you need more information, just click on the transfer or train you need information about.

See the actual disturbances
See what's causing trouble on the rail network, so you're prepared before you begin your journey.

Keep on tapping
You can always tap a train to see its stops, or a station to see its trains.

Customizable
Choose in which order favorites and recent searches appear, or hide them if you don't need them. Set the app to launch on your most-used screen. Please explore the settings, and tune it as much as you want.

Privacy friendly
Transmission of your search queries and their results is encrypted.
Nearby stations are calculated on your device, without any need for internet communication.

Explanation of permissions:
- Internet access: To retrieve timetables, routes, disturbances
- Coarse position: To locate nearby stations. This function can be disabled in the application. Only your last known location is queried, meaning your battery isn't drained.
