Shri Guru Charitra' is the life of 'Shri Guru Dattatreya' (an incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara). It is the life story of Shri Narasimha Saraswati, his philosophy and related stories written by the 15th-16th Century poet Shri Saraswati Gangadhar. Some people regard the book to be historically important as it depicts stories or events which took place around the 14th Century. The book originally had 52 Chapters; the 53rd Chapter of "Avatarnika" summarizes the previous 51 chapters. The whole book is considered a "Mantra" in itself and thus there are very strict rules for reading it. In Datta Sampradaya they consider this as their "Veda"

For those who do the regular "Parayan" ( Meaning the methodical recitation of Gurucharitra in stipulated time and manner), this app would help as the support for their own "Parayan" effort.
