This state-of-the-art portal was launched in 2016 by Infrastructure Implementation Unit (IIU) of Ministry of Public Works (MPW), Liberia, for the benefit of motorists, government officials, contractors, donor organizations, and others. This portal provides up-to-date and transparent information on infrastructure issues being undertaken by MPW and also serves as a medium for citizens to co-participate in infrastructure development by conveying their feedback and complaints via SMS and social media.
By clicking on the ‘Monitoring’ tab on this portal, you can accurately track and monitor issues in construction works and gain more data and information on the same. Candid visuals showcasing the condition at each monitored issue offer an insightful understanding on the prevailing conditions of issues. Authorities are now able to closely monitor construction works and hold concerned stakeholders accountable. Reports are updated as soon as monitoring officials submit new data for any issue through smartphone technology. The ability to view reports for each issue on a before-after basis helps assess how conditions have fared over time.

Saliently, this portal allows viewers to interact directly with authorities through integrated mediums such as Facebook. Citizens are thereby encouraged to convey their views and grievances through the social media options provided. Citizens are also encouraged to submit any other issue they might encounter through SMS.
