About Indian Snakes Android App
"Indian Snakes" app is the only application available on android market which displays snake names in regional languages such as Marathi [मराठी], Hindi [हिन्दी], Gujarati [ગુજરાતી], Bengali [বাংলা], Kannada [ಕನ್ನಡ], Malayalam [മലയാളം] and Tamil [தமிழ்]. "Indian Snakes" app works in offline mode and can be moved to SD Card. With great user interface, "Indian Snakes" app is very easy to use as a "field guide" as well.
"Indian Snakes" app as name suggests - covers most of the common species of snakes found in India. Some key features of "Indian Snakes" app include:
1. List of snake names in Marathi [मराठी], Hindi [हिन्दी], Gujarati [ગુજરાતી], Bengali [বাংলা], Kannada [ಕನ್ನಡ], Malayalam [മലയാളം] and Tamil [தமிழ்]
2. Snake categorization for easy navigation with category names in Marathi [मराठी]
3. Searchable List of snakes.
4. Snake Details screen with photo gallery - use action bar icon to view photo gallery and YouTube video link (if available)
5. Settings screen allows user to configure search field (snake name or alternate snake names or scientific name) for list of snakes.
6. Interesting facts/myths about snakes, displayed as notifications.
"Indian Snakes" app also offers search based on Marathi [मराठी], Hindi [हिन्दी], Gujarati [ગુજરાતી], Bengali [বাংলা], Kannada [ಕನ್ನಡ], Malayalam [മലയാളം] and Tamil [தமிழ்] names.
