ItalicApp is an application that lets you travel to the past in a different manner than you're used to, by way of Italica´s Amphitheater. Thanks to computer-generated reconstructions of characters, audiovisual and Augmented Reality you will see how the amphitheater was in the second century. The ItalicApp will make your visit to the archaeological site of Italica (Santiponce, Seville) unique.
Marcus, a Roman citizen and italicense, will guide you through the enclosure. Each infographic reconstruction will show spaces like the Nemeseum or the arena itself, where gladiators fought. Augmented Reality lets you see past and present at once. And the audiovisuals will explain places that are inaccessible today, like the bestiaria fossa.
ItalicApp is more than a video tour of the Amphitheatre of Italica—it's an applicationfor heritage interpretation and a different way of knowing the past.
ItalicApp comprises:
- Introductory Audio on the history of Italica.
- Infographic Reconstruction of the Porta Triunphalis in which you will see what it was like outside the amphitheater.
- Reconstruction of Nemeseum infographic.
- Infographic Reconstruction inside the amphitheater from the cavea, in which you will see a gladiatorial fight.
- Reconstruction infographic inside the amphitheater from the sand showing the Pompa Triunphalis.
- Audiovisual explanation of the Fossa Tabula Bestiaria and gladiators.
- Augmented Reality Exterior and interior corridors.
- 360 degree images inside the amphitheater from the cavea and from the sand.
