WARNING: ALWAYS backup your notes before you uninstall the App! If you have taken notes and you have not backed up your notes... you will lose them. Make sure you always have the latest release. I suggest you check for updates before going to the assembly.


Why I created JW Smart Notes

After spending a long time trying many other disappointing note taking apps at assemblies over the years, I decided to write my own!

I wanted to create something that is easy to use for me and my family that I could rely on, so I developed JW Smart Notes.

Now we can record all of our talk notes at our JW assemblies, conventions and weekly meetings and save them to review for years to come or as long as we keep the App installed.

All of the notes can be backed up and restored even if we have to uninstall and re-install the App. I have also added the ability to backup to your free Dropbox, if you have one, so you can restore them to a new device in the future.

Each year all of the assembly talks will be updated as they are released by the society as soon as they appear on JW.org. A new Menu option will appear in the 'Slide In' drawer menu on the left of the screen for each new service year.

You can now also access the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures and the Song Book without leaving the App for quick reference.

All future software updates are available free of charge to all of our App users.

The App is now available in English, Spanish and French, more maybe added if we get enough positive feedback, requests and ratings for our new App.

I've made it as inexpensive as possible to cover my Google Developer fees and I hope that as fellow brothers and sisters, you can appreciate the time and effort it has taken to create this useful App and the assiciated costs involved.

I will be updating the talks every year from now, along with continued on-going development of the App so please support my efforts, I really apreciate it.

Note: It is impossible to support every device on all versions of Android, no App can do that. So a reasonable cut off version has to be selected, I have chosen Jelly Bean 4.1.1

So with a great deal of effort and a number of serious issues that needed to be dealt with, I have made this App compatible with all Android devices that support Jelly Bean 4.1.1 all the way up to Nougat 7.1.1 - even Samsung Tablets that have their own unique differences.

I can tell you that is a lot of work... and there are probably still some problems yet to be discovered by you brothers!

So I really want to thank all of you for being patient with me and who continue to demonstrate the fruitage of the spirit in helping me create the best App possible to meet our note taking needs.
