Update to code base.
Games to support children when learning the UK National Curriculum spelling lists. Words are assigned to different year groups. With clear audio using British voices and spelling patterns, this version is ideal for use at home and in the classroom.
There are six games for each section including; Balloon Drop, Tiles, Bouncing Balls, Speed Test and Word Search plus a practice activity. The latest addition is an activity based on homophones and near homophones.
The app has been designed for use both within the classroom and at home. In the classroom, pupils can enter their name and compete against each other. At home the app can be set up for a single user to compete against themselves. The app uses lower case letters.
The options button (a cog on the home page) allows the user to change the voice, set the time frame and choose multi user or single player.
As a bonus the app contains two activities for younger children, just-in-case younger brothers or sisters want a go!
This app has been developed in partnership with a Cornish primary school and contains no adverts or In-app purchases.
Future development:
Continue to add new words and increase the options for younger users. If you have suggestions please get in touch, [email protected], and we will try to build them in.
