Slank.. Grup Band yang bermarkas di Potlot ini sudah tidak asing lagi di telinga kita,khususnya di indonesia.
Setelah terbentuk pada tahun 1983, di mana sudah belasan kali mengganti formasi.
"Red Evil" awal nama band yang di prakarsai oleh Bimo Setiawan alias BimBim selaku Penabuh Drum,
Denny BDN (Bang Denny) selaku Bass,Kiki pada Gitaris dan Erwan sebagai vokalisnya.
Seiring berjalannya waktu,karena penampilan mereka saat manggung yang selalu di elu2 kan para penonton
dengan penampilan yang "Slenge-an", maka maka terlahirlah sebuah nama baru yaitu "SLANK",yang huruf akhirnya
diganti dengn "K" agar terlihat lebih Gaul saat itu.
Bukan perjalan yang mudah bagi SLANK,mulai dari personilnya yang selalu hengkang, dan demo yang di sodorkan tak kunjung di terima oleh pihak Produser,
membuat Bimbim pusing, yang kemudian Akhadi Wira Satriaji atau akrab di sapa "KAKA" (adik sepupu dari Bimbim sendiri) mmengisi vokalis (1989),
maka hingga pada bulan Desember 1990 Terlahirlah
sebuah album pertama SLANK yang diberi judul ‘Suit – Suit…He.. He.. Gadis Sexy’.

Nah itulah secuil kisah romansa awal mula terlahirnya Grup Band SLANK.
