Understanding the scale can make it easier for us to play the melody. Essentially, a melody is a game of notes in a particular pitch. While we play a melody, we can hit whatever tone we want, as long as the tone is still within that particular pitch. The melody game will sound harmonious and not boring with certain "tone tracks" or melodic patterns or known as riffs.
