This application provides three great features. Read about the biography, voyages and accomplishments of 12 explorers, match their portraits with the ships they commanded and play the original board game with a cool wind rose! (This last feature is only playable together with the board game).

The original game takes place on a large game board with the world map, on which all players navigate following the real itineraries the explorers completed. The wind rose determines in each round, depending on the fields with favourable or poor wind conditions it points to, whether the player can advance (1 or 2 steps) or has to stay still. The wind rose contains two special fields: "completely calm - quiz time" and "pirate attack". For each correct answer during quiz time, you will get valuable question cards. After stopping on "pirate attack" the wind rose will automatically be spun again. If it points to a blue field, that indicates victory over the pirates. You will acquire their plunder by taking a treasure card. But watch out! If at second spinning the pointer stops on a red field, the pirates deprive you of your wealth and you will have to give back a treasure card. You can verify your treasure cards by tapping on the colour you have chosen at the beginning of the game, in the upper left corner of the screen.

The game develops imagination and attention, improves general knowledge and enhances social interaction skills. You will learn about exceptional personalities, real historical events, expansions, interesting information on sailing and wind conditions, impressive ships and exotic itineraries.
